DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and maintain production equipment applying engineering principles and according to the manuals
- Work with other engineers in set up equipment electronically for production lines
- Identify electrical problems for company’s testing equipment, production equipment and fix the problems in a timely manner
- Provide support in improvement of manufacturing efficiency and quality
- Working with QC engineer on safety aspects of machine installation, operation and maintenance
- Oversee the daily operation of cell production lines to ensure smooth operation per the set standards and procedures
- Train technician for using new machines
- Create related Quality Control documentations and product documentations and records
- Inspect and make effort that QC procedures are followed
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in electrical engineering or equivalent, Must be a US Citizen or a green card holder
- Minimum five years’ related experience in electronic industries, direct experience in Li ion industry is preferred
- Familiarity with pneumatics, basic automation, motion control.
- Demonstrates understanding of a wide variety of manufacturing and machining processes and workholding.
- Ability to utilize internal resources to determine product requirements, generate recommendations, document findings, and communicate findings to others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Driven to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and motivation with a willingness to work independently or on a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear PPE all the time at work.
- Must be ok to work in the environment with Li-ion battery production
- Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and climb on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 50lbs.
The electrical Engineer will work with mechanical engineers to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and outputs through equipment installation, design, product testing, and equipment repair and maintenance. You will need to balance this sustaining activity with concurrent Manufacturing and Quality initiatives. This is a hands-on position requiring machine installation, testing, vendor facing communications, and design work with focus on providing support for electrical work of the company's daily operation.
