Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Analyze schematics and blueprints to understand facility layouts and systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures, and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, hydraulic equipment, and other mechanical systems.
Utilize logic controllers for system monitoring and control and conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on facility systems.
Collaborate with other engineering staff to develop improvement plans for facility operations, and facilitate communication with contractors and vendors
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience in facilities engineering or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, hydraulics, industrial mechanics, and low and high voltage electrical systems.
Ability to analyze complex problems using logical reasoning and technical knowledge.
Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings.
Experience with welding techniques is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Familiarity with using tools such as voltmeters for electrical diagnostics is advantageous.
A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience.
Prefer someone with lithium ion battery or related manufacturing facility experience for at least 5 years
